The spooky and festive seasonal celebrations are upon us! We’ve been planning our ever-popular events for this time of year since Easter so here at CZS, we are deep into the preparations for our award-winning evening Halloween event, Trail of Terror and Enchanted Trail of Light, alongside our Shriek Week, Magic of Christmas and Santa Experience events – busy busy busy!
Since it was introduced back in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, Trail of Terror has become one of the Zoo’s most successful events and each year we aim to get bigger and better than the last. 2025 is set to be our biggest yet with a new and improved route which journeys through four different zones: Chemical Spill, Swamps of New Orleans, Fright at the Movies and Happy Hill Circus. Trail of Terror is recommended for those aged 12yrs + and provides screams of laughter along with the frights!
From sewing costumes, creating and painting props to carving sculptures and programming lights, our CZS in-house team work hard throughout the year to get everything ready to frighten those thrill seekers attending Trail of Terror to their very core! With over 150 costumes to create and a 1.5 mile route to theme, it’s quite a task. Each and every year our dedicated team come up with new themes and ideas to create a unique event that can be enjoyed by new and returning thrill seekers.
