What’s it about?
CZS have organised this event with the aim to support schools from across the region in developing their Climate Action Plans (CAP), as required by the Department for Education. CAPs have a wide focus for schools including: decarbonisation; adaptation & resilience; climate education & green careers; and improving the environment and biodiversity.
This event will bring CZS together with local schools, partners, community leaders, and a variety of organisations for a day of collaboration and planning towards climate action and sustainability – something that CZS is passionate about and eager to assist the local school community to achieve.
There will be networking opportunities and inspiring case studies showcasing real-world actions happening in Essex schools. Expert-led workshops will cover biodiversity mapping, renewable energy solutions, improving school grounds for resilience, and using conservation technology to develop green career skills.
We hope to welcome you along to this collaborative planning event!
