Enjoy daytime activities!
This May half term, get wild about animals and enjoy a week filled with daytime activities! Meet our Cretaceous Crew, learn about animal artefacts and dance with our Zoo Crew! PLUS much more!
Passholders: This event is FREE for Zoo Passholders. Simply turn up on the day and bring with you your valid zoo pass to gain entry into the zoo.
Paying Visitors: We recommend all non-passholders to book their tickets online in advance to receive the best price on admission.
Activity Timetable
Cretaceous Crew
9:30am, 10:45am, 3:45pm & 5:00pm – Near Entrance/Exit 2:30pm – Near Main Stage 10:30am, 1:00pm & 3:30pm – Near Dinosaur Realm 11:45am & 2:15pm – Near Wrap ‘n’ Roll Look out for our baby dinos and their rangers!
Animal Artefact Show and tell
11:00am Main Stage, next to Penguini’s Restaurant Discover a selection of animal artefacts such as impressive skulls!
Pond Table and Native Species
11:00am – 3:00pm Nature Area Join the Education Team at the Nature Area with a live pond table where you can discover more!
Zootastic Zoo Crew Party
3:30pm Main Stage, next to Penguini’s Restaurant Dance with our Zoo Crew in our Zootastic Party!
Face painting
11:00am – 1hr before zoo closing Face Painting Station & Inside Kingdom of the Wild Transform into your favourite animal at our Face Painting Station.*
Exploratorium
11:00am – 4:00pm Inside Kingdom of the Wild Try out some different themed activity boxes from minibeasts to poo, we have a lot to choose from!
Discovery Den
10:30am – 1hr before zoo closing Inside Elephant Kingdom Learn about different animal habitats with our interactive sand table and Draw Alive wall.
Dinosaur realm
9:30am – 1hr before zoo closing Opposite Lion Rock Come face to face with creatures from the past and embark on a prehistoric journey through our Dinosaur Realm.
Crazy sand
11:00am – 1hr before zoo closing (weather dependant) Next to Meerkat Hangout Create your own colourful sand bottles and pendants at Crazy Sand. All items are available whilst stocks last. *
Lost Madagascar Road Train
10:30am – 1hr before zoo closing Next to Tiger Taiga Take a journey around our lake and spot the Chilean flamingo and grey wolves.
