It’s time to lace up for charity!
Experience the unique opportunity to run a chip timed 10k that starts in the heart of the Zoo – that’s right you will be starting between the rhinos and elephants.
Please note that this event is organised by Run Through to support Colchester Zoological Society and conservation projects.
Closures & Travel Information
Please be aware that the Colchester Stampede 10K will be taking place on Sunday 17th May 2026. Although the Zoo will be open to visitors from 9:30am, there may be slight disruptions to some areas until 11:00am, along with some road closures surrounding the Zoo. Please factor this into your journey if you are visiting. We apologise for any inconvenince caused and thank you for your understanding.
There may be some restrictions to areas within the lower part of the Zoo whilst the race takes place from 9:00am to 11:00am.
