Event Terms and Conditions

  • CZS Annual Memberships are not valid admission to this event. Annual Members are required to purchase an admission ticket for this event.
  • CZS Annual Memberships cannot be used in catering or retail outlets during the event as the discount is invalid during Enchanted Trail of Light.
  • All tickets are non-refundable.
  • Tickets are valid for the event date and time selected upon booking and cannot be changed.
  • Tickets are not required for under 3’s therefore do not need to be included in your online booking.
  • You must arrive within your allocated time slot otherwise entry may not be granted.
  • The Zoo is closed during the event. The Enchanted Trail of Light is a designated route and must be kept to at all times.
  • You are only admitted to participate in the route once per event.
  • Flashing lights are used within the event trail so may not be suitable for everyone.
  • The Santa Experience is not included within this event.
  • During the event our standard entry t&cs also apply.
  • All terms & conditions are subject to change without notice.
  • Please note that a £0.50 booking fee applies per online transaction.

Flexi Booking Guarantee Terms and Conditions

  • The Flexi Booking guarantee is available for an additional fee of £10 per transaction and must be purchased at the time of booking.
  • The Flexi Booking guarantee allows the lead booker to change the date of their visit once to an alternative event date, subject to availability.
  • Requests to change a booking date must be made at least 48 hours before the original scheduled visit date and time. Date changes requested less than 48 hours before the scheduled visit date and time will not be permitted.
  • The Flexi Booking guarantee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another booking.
  • Only one date change is permitted per booking. Once a booking has been amended, no further changes will be allowed.
  • The Flexi Booking guarantee does not provide the right to cancel a booking or receive a refund.
  • Bookings made without the Flexi Booking guarantee are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be amended or rescheduled under any circumstances.
  • CZS reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
  • Customers must also pay the difference if they move to a date with a higher ticket price.

Admission

From 4.00pm on weekdays and 4:30pm on weekends and school holidays, CZS will close and day guests will leave the Zoo. The Enchanted Trail of Light event will then open for guests with an allocated time slot from 4:30pm on weekdays and 5:00pm on weekends and school holidays. All those wishing to take part will be required to pre-book their entry to this event online in advance, entry to our evening events cannot be purchased on the day.

Time slots for these events are available to book every 15 minutes, the final entry slot may vary each evening depending on demand.

Under 16yrs must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 16yrs at all times whilst in the park. Unaccompanied persons under 16yrs will not be admitted.

Please note that Tesco Partner Reward Codes, Annual Memberships, complimentary tickets, vouchers, or any other discounts are NOT valid for admission to the Enchanted Trail of Light event. An admission ticket for this event will need to be purchased for each person who wishes to participate.

Admission to this event cannot be used to upgrade to a Annual Membership. Our Guest Services office will be closed during this event.

Once you have entered the Enchanted Trail of Light event there will be no re-entry facility.

Admission to this event is non-refundable. 

During the Enchanted Trail of Light event

The Enchanted Trail of Light consists of a marked route which you will be asked to follow, this is one way, and you are not able to turn back. If you would like to see the animals of CZS this is not the event for you and instead, we recommend joining us during the day. Please note that the Enchanted Trail of Light is a outside event, we strongly encourage sensible footwear.

Throughout the trail there will be music, some flashing lights and special effects that may not be suitable for some people.

Please be aware that all outlets will be CARD ONLY during our Enchanted Trail of Light event.

CZS Annual Memberships cannot be used in catering or retail outlets during the event as the discount is invalid during Enchanted Trail of Light.

The trail has been designed to be accessible for wheelchairs, however there are some areas that may present difficulty because of uneven ground or after wet weather when the surface may become muddy or slippery. Parts of the trail do also use bark chipping as a base and this may prove difficult for some, not all, wheelchairs.

Other

CZS’ car park is free of charge. Please be aware that due to the number of visitors for these events queuing may be necessary on arrival and on leaving the park so please do factor this into your journey to ensure you arrive on time for your slot.

CZS promotes a no-smoking policy. Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited within the zoo grounds. Please only use our designated smoking area located outside of the zoo’s main entrance.

CZS management reserves the right to close all or any part of the event as necessary without prior notice due to inclement weather, power failure or for any other reasons.
