PLEASE NOTE:
There are no age restrictions and under 3s & assistants are included within group numbers. A participating adult over the age of 18yrs must be present at all times, taking full responsibility for any child taking part.
These experiences have limited capacity and therefore, we advise you to book as far in advance of your visit as possible to avoid disappointment.

Jess, December 2024It was the first time that I’ve ever seen a reindeer other than in the story books. They have now become one of my favourite animals to see at Colchester Zoo at Christmas.
Important Information
- Please arrive at the meeting point by our Reindeer Stables as detailed on your confirmation booking at least 10 minutes prior to the start time of your experience.
- Please note that direct contact (including feeding) may not be possible.
- This experience is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a different date.
- An Animal Experience does not admit entry into Colchester Zoological Society (CZS). A valid Zoo Pass or Admission Ticket will be required to enter the Zoo.
- A number of other groups may also be taking part in this experience at the same time.
- Our Group Reindeer Experience is not suitable for school parties.
- A valid Group Reindeer Experience ticket must be presented to the Animal Care Team to be able to participate in the experience.
- CZS reserves the right to withdraw this experience at any time without prior notice.
