Activities
Morning:
Animal Training and Communications
Take on the Animal training and Communications Challenge and your team will be instructed in the secrets of animal training by one of our experts. Your team will then be given the chance to have a go yourselves and train the most difficult of animals, each other!
Next is the chance to watch an expert trainer show a demonstration, before your team heads off to compete in the sheepdog trials, an exercise in planning, following directions and trust as well as being a whole lot of fun!
Morning or Afternoon:
Zooper Quiz
This Team Building activity is suitable for everyone to enjoy. Each team sets off into the Zoo to play our version of a quiz night. There’s a Sports round, Music round, Food round etc. but of course all are animal themed. You’ don’t need to have animal knowledge to enjoy this activity; the teams will have fun working out the answers together around the Zoo amongst the animals.
This activity helps with time management, communication skills, listening skills and of course working as a team.
Enrichment Exercise
Creations for Creatures – with this exercise, your team is introduced to the concept of animal enrichment, a method employed by zoo keepers to keep their animals happy, healthy and stimulated.
Your team will be given advice and guidelines and supplied with all the materials and sticky tape you need before racing against the clock to design and construct a device to test the abilities of some of our animals.
This is an exercise in planning, time budgeting and cooperation to not only build an exciting toy, but also deliver it right inside the animals enclosure where it will be judged by the toughest panel of all, the animals themselves!
Treasure Quest
Embark upon the Treasure Quest! Armed with only a treasure map and some basic equipment, your teams must race against time and each other to solve the riddles, complete the tasks and answer the questions that stand between them and the glory of claiming the Lost Tracker’s treasure for themselves.
With both physical and mental challenges along the way, this exercise has something for all abilities and tests skills in lateral thinking, problem solving, planning and of course working together as a team. But ultimately, only the most successful team will claim the right to step forward and take on the final challenge and see if they have what it takes to claim the Lost Tracker’s treasure!
Donald, September 2024The team were so helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the variety of activities! The giraffe feed was the highlight of the day and we were blown away by the quality of the food provided. Our team will be returning next year to try the other activities!
Important Information
- Open to participants aged 14yrs +. Anyone aged 14 – 17yrs must be accompanied by an adult aged 18yrs or over who is also paying to participate in the same experience. There cannot be eight persons under 18yrs participating in this experience.
- Both the Full Day and Half Day Team Building experiences are for a minimum of 8 participants and a maximum of 25 participants. also be added to the experience at an additional cost per person. See costs for additional guests above.
- Please allow at least 48 hours for processing of online bookings. Once the experience has been booked, it cannot be rescheduled less than 8 weeks prior to the date of the experience taking place. A £20 fee will be charged for any alterations to your booking at any time.
- Please advise at the time of booking if activities or menus need to be varied for anyone that has additional requirements including access, pregnancy, diet or immuno-suppression.
