Activities
Habitat Heroes
Become a habitat hero and work with the Animal Care Team to carry out physical work to one of our animal habitats.
Your team will be involved in giving an exhibit a makeover, from changing substrates, tidying foliage or changing enrichment items.
Afterwards you will have the great satisfaction of watching the animals inspect your work.
Please note, this activity takes place in the morning for 2 hours (9:30am – 11:30am) and can only be booked if purchasing a Full Day Experience with one of our other activities taking place in the afternoon. Animal exhibits cannot be chosen; it will depend on the tasks available chosen by the Animal Care Team and when the experience will take place.
Zoo Detectives
Become a Zoo Detective and take on this murder mystery activity with an animal twist!
Armed with a clipboard full of evidence, the Team Builders will be given a list of animal suspects to ‘interview’ around the Zoo. Will you be able to solve the crime?
Please note this activity can take place in the morning or afternoon for 2 hours. It can be combined with either Habitat Heroes or Animal Instincts as a Full Day Experience. Alternatively, this experience can be enjoyed as a Half Day Experience.
Animal Instincts
Take on this challenging quiz relating to the five senses in the animal kingdom. With questions to answer, pictures to identify and an anagram to solve, come together as a team and have fun exploring the Zoo.
Please note, this activity can take place in the morning or afternoon for 2 hours. It can be combined with either Habitat Heros or Zoo Detectives as a Full Day Experience. Alternatively, this experience can be enjoyed as a Half Day Experience.
Donald, September 2024The team were so helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the variety of activities! The giraffe feed was the highlight of the day and we were blown away by the quality of the food provided. Our team will be returning next year to try the other activities!
Important Information
- Open to participants aged 14yrs +. Anyone aged 14 – 17yrs must be accompanied by an adult aged 18yrs or over who is also paying to participate in the same Experience. There cannot be eight persons under 18yrs participating in this Experience.
- Both the Full Day and Half Day Team Building Experiences are for a minimum of 8 participants.
- Please allow at least 48 hours for processing of online bookings. Once the Experience has been booked, it cannot be rescheduled less than 8 weeks prior to the date of the Experience taking place. A £20 fee will be charged for any alterations to your booking at any time.
- Please advise at the time of booking if activities or menus need to be varied for anyone that has additional requirements including access, pregnancy, diet or immuno-suppression.
