Conservation starts with a donation!
Every day, incredible animals rely on us to help protect and preserve the habitats they call home. Unfortunately, this home is shrinking at an alarming rate, and countless species are at risk of disappearing forever.
Your donation helps give creatures of all sizes a fighting chance by providing vital support for breeding programmes, conservation projects and research. By supporting endangered species today, we can protect the world of tomorrow because every species matters and everyone has a role in our planet’s future.

Helps provide cut-resistant gloves for Field Rangers at UmPhafa Nature Reserve. This vital piece of equipment helps the rangers fix fences whilst protecting their hands.

Provides the chimpanzees with food pellets for 10 days. The pellets are part of a balanced diet that the chimpanzees receive and are used as part of food enrichment such as puzzle feeders.

Provides the tamanduas with insectivore food for around a month. This food is part of their balanced diet.

Pays for a game pro torch for Field Rangers at UmPhafa Nature Reserve. This helps the rangers spot intruders and poachers entering the reserve.

You can now set up a fundraising page on Crowdfunder or GoFundMe to help raise funds to help conservation worldwide.

GoFundMe
If you would like to set up a crowd funding page on GoFundMe, please allocate Colchester Zoological Society as the beneficiary of the funds when the money is withdrawn.
In order to do this, when you click on the withdrawal of funds from your account, please add the details Rebecca Moore into the beneficiary name section and use Rebecca@colchesterzoo.org
This will then send Rebecca Moore, our Zoological Director, an email to accept the donations and to set up the Zoo’s bank account. Thereafter, on a periodic basis, the funds will be deposited directly into our emergency appeal. This is a quicker way to make the withdrawal and ensures we get the funds as quickly as possible.
Do note, that if the first withdrawal isn’t activated within 30 days of the first donation then the funds are held by GoFundMe for consideration, and if the first withdrawal isn’t activated within 90 days, then donations are returned to the donor. It is therefore important this is set up from the start so that you can continue to raise funds and the Zoo receives them regularly.
